An important notice about user comments and spam

Convertech takes great pride in presenting a web site to our visitors that is informative and useful. To maintain the integrity of our web site, Convertech has adopted a zero tolerance policy towards spam and spammers. In the simplest terms, we hate spam and so do our visitors. We sincerely appreciate and encourage any and all relevant feedback from our site visitors, but we ask that users adhere to the following guidelines when submitting comments.

USER COMMENTS

→ Please refrain from using links, coding or pictures when posting comments.

We do not allow any form of coding such as external links or pictures as part of a user comment unless arranged with ourselves in advance. Our software has been engineered to delete any form of coding, including links, pictures etc. prior to logging a user comment. It is therefore senseless to include such code snippets in a comment, as it will never be displayed, nor will any other site visitor ever know that it was there in the first place.

→ What to do if you want to include a picture or a link?

If you feel that your comment would be more valuable to other site visitors through the inclusion of a link or picture, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you in preparing a customized comment that will display such a link or picture as part of your comment.

→ Please be aware that all comments must be approved before being visible to other visitors.

All user comments are screened prior to being approved manually by our webmaster. This process can take up to 12 hours although the typical approval time during business hours is less than 10 minutes. An email alert requesting approval is sent to our webmaster and to Convertech as soon as a comment is logged to ensure that urgent comments receive preferential attention.

SPAM

→ Spam Attempts.

We consider spammers to be a scourge to our business and our valuable site visitors. We have a number of measures in place to prevent our site visitors from being exposed to spam or unsuitable / irrelevant content. Any attempt at spamming our site will lead to the banning of such a visitor from this site. For this reason, we kindly request that all visitors avoid any type of content in a comment that can be construed as spam and also to ensure that a comment is relevant in relation to the topic being commented on.

→ What to do if you have been banned?

We will not restore privileges to any user that has been banned from this site due to spamming activities unless substantial evidence can be presented that the banning of a specific user was erroneous and unjustified. Should a user feel that these preconditions apply, please provide us with all the relevant details and a request to restore user priviledges. If we are satisfied that the banning was indeed erroneous and unjustified, we will gladly re-instate normal user priviledges.
